“Rag Doll Heart” & Other Stories at the Irvington Public Library

On the evening of March 18, I’ll perform a public reading of some of my short stories at the Irvington Public Library

You can expect a lively performance as I embody my semi-autobiographical protagonist, Bobby, and a cast of supporting characters.

Stories will range from farce (“Miracle Missiles” and “There’s Barf in the Pool”) to tragicomedy (“Rag Doll Heart”), as I transform childhood experiences into a darkly comic interrogation of religion, consumerism, and gender attitudes.

I’ll also debut a brand-new piece of flash fiction inspired by an ill-fated homemade Halloween costume!

Please save the date — I’d love to see you there!
